Look What God Is Doing in Ethiopia!
God is good! Thank you for loving our kids in Ethiopia through child sponsorships, giving, and praying. You are making a difference. Here’s an exciting update from our team—
God is doing big things here in Ethiopia!
For starters, time is flying, and we are already over halfway through our school year!
We have the privilege to serve orphaned and vulnerable children in the Ziway and Adami Tulu communities with quality education, feeding programs, and faithful discipleship. Our three school campuses provide education for students in Nursery through 8th grade.
The students have now taken their first semester exams and have enjoyed their brief school break. We’re thankful for how God continues to work in their lives this year.
We recently learned that 18 of our students from last year’s 8th grade class received a scholarship. This is great news! They will attend a special class managed by the university and have everything provided that they need.
Our construction project on the Adami Tulu campus is in the final stages. For the past year, we’ve been working to build a new classroom building that will enable us to add 5th through 8th grades to what we offer our students. Without these classrooms, 70 of our students each year would be unable to continue receiving their education after 4th grade.
We praise God for what He is doing and what He will continue to do because of this new building!
God continues to provide.
Here in Ethiopia, we celebrated Easter yesterday, May 2.
Leading up to Easter, we took the opportunity to share the good news of the Gospel and distribute food to over 300 families in need in our community who are struggling because of COVID-19. With your help, each family received 50kg (110 pounds) of wheat flour and 5L of quality cooking oil.
While interacting with each family, we could clearly sense that this food will go a long way in meeting needs at a critical time.
We praise God for the way He continues to provide for vulnerable children and families in our community.
